Leasing a horse is a great way to experience the joy and responsibility of having a horse without the full commitment of ownership. It allows riders to develop a consistent partnership with a horse while gaining more independence and time in the saddle. At our farm, leasing is designed for riders who have built a solid foundation through lessons and are ready to take the next step in their riding journey.

Have no experience, but want to lease? Check out our lesson page to get started! We require a minimum of two months of lessons before moving forward with a lease. This insures the horse and rider feel equipped for the independence of this opportunity.

What We Offer

  • For $350 per month, riders receive 2-3 riding days per week. This is ideal for riders who are ready for more independence outside of their regular lessons while still benefiting from the support and structure of our program. A half lease is also a great introduction to leasing if you have prior experience with riding, but want less of a commitment.

  • For $700 per month, riders receive 5-6 days of riding time per week. This consistency is perfect for those looking to build and strengthen their partnership with a horse while working on skills in the saddle.

  • Finding the right horse is an important part of a successful lease. For $60, riders can schedule a trial ride to try our available lease horses to see which one feels like the best fit. This allows riders to experience the horse’s personality, movement, and ride before committing to a lease.

Drama

Drama is a total barn favorite and confidence builder! She is:

  • Safe and level headed

  • More whoa than go — a total kick ride

  • Used in camp & regular lesson program

  • Great on trails

  • Happy to go bareback

  • Jumps around with ease

  • Show experience & knows her job

  • The kind that takes care her rider

She’s the perfect fit for a rider wanting something dependable to learn on, show on, or just enjoy without the drama (other than her name ).

Otis

Otis is a 16hh, 2011 OTTB gelding with three solid gaits and the ability to jump. He’s incredibly sweet-natured. Barefoot with good ground manners, Otis is smart, responsive, and quick to learn.

Under saddle, he offers a nice balance of go and whoa. He is generally laidback and level-headed, but he can have the occasional spook or test his rider. He would thrive with a confident, non-beginner rider who can provide steady guidance and enjoy his athleticism.
